Felix Dietrich holds a degree in technical mathematics and has been admitted as a German and European Patent Attorney since 2011.
In 2007, Felix Dietrich began his training as a patent attorney in a well-known law firm in Munich and worked there after his admission as a German and European patent attorney in 2011, and later for a big Germany-wide operating law firm in Berlin. He counted many large international companies among his clients, but also advised SMEs and individual inventors. He has been working for Wallinger Ricker Schlotter Tostmann since 2021. Mr. Dietrich is admitted as representative at the UPC (European Patent Litigator (UPC)) since June 2024.
As a patent attorney, Felix Dietrich has many years of experience in patent prosecution before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA). Beyond drafting patent applications, this includes particularly conducting examination proceedings, including opposition and appeal proceedings. Furthermore, he supports his clients in setting up and maintaining their patent portfolios and is also familiar with the preparation of expert opinions. He advises clients particularly in the fields of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, medical devices, and computer implemented inventions.
Before working in the field of intellectual property, Felix Dietrich completed his degree in technical mathematics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), specializing in mechanical engineering and computer science with a focus on medical devices.
