Oliver Schäfer also advises on copyright law issues. The focus of his work is on the interface between copyright law and technical developments. A particular focus is on providing legal support for current developments in artificial intelligence, such as the legally compliant implementation of AI systems in work processes.

Mr Schäfer's range of advice in the field of intellectual property law also includes trademark and competition law issues.

Mr Schäfer studied in Bonn. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne with stations in a law firm specialising in intellectual property law and in the in-house legal department of a large corporation.

Oliver Schäfer is a doctoral student at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where he previously worked for several years as a research assistant at a chair specialising in the field of intellectual property.

He also gained experience as a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich and in the department specialising in intellectual property law at an internationally active medium-sized law firm in Munich.
