Dr. rer. nat. Albert Bender

Dr. Albert Bender holds a doctorate in chemistry and has been admitted to practice before the European Patent Office as a European Patent Attorney since 2010. Dr. Bender worked for many years in the chemical industry, primarily in research and development.

Since 2001, Dr. Albert Bender has specialized in intellectual property law. In 2007, he joined the law firm Wallinger Ricker Schlotter Tostmann and was admitted as a European Patent Attorney in 2010. Dr. Bender handles extensive patent portfolios of companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Dr. Albert Bender studied chemistry at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg. His diploma and doctoral thesis were on topics in organic chemistry, in particular rearrangement reactions of bridged carbon compounds. In addition, he also worked on crystallography.

Between 1978 and 2001, Dr. Bender was employed in large-scale chemical industry, particularly in research and development. For the former Hoechst AG, Dr. Bender held various positions and worked in the following fields: optical brighteners, dyes and pigments, pharmaceutical products, crop protection agents, and polycondensates and polymers. Dr. Bender has also supervised the transfer of development products to technical scale. His work has led to numerous patents and sales products.
